I was adopted through full adoption. I know that my biological mother has just died. Am I an heir?

No. Full adoption creates an exclusive and irrevocable parent-child relationship with the adoptive family and severs all legal ties with the family of origin (French Civil Code, Art. 356). You therefore have no rights in your biological mother’s estate (unless she named you as a legatee in a will).
